Lionsgate Films

Lionsgate Films (spelled as Lions Gate until 2005, and formerly Cinépix Film Properties until 1998) is a Canadian-American film production and distribution company founded in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on June 15, 1962. It was owned by Lionsgate from 1997 to 2024, and Lionsgate Studios (which spun off its television and film business) since 2024, and is now headquartered in Santa Monica, California.

Lionsgate is the largest and most successful mini-major film studio in North America.
